Risen Son Academy is a school where children are loved and safe.
We believe that children are valuable and precious, unique individuals with various talents and abilities. We therefore strive to educate them for life, based on values, character and competence.
We cater for students from Grade RR to Grade 12
We provide education that is individualized and innovative from grade RR to grade 12. Our matriculants are able to prepare for the IEB (NSC) exit qualification. This is Umalusi accredited and internationally accepted. We are continuously looking for new innovations and ideas. As from 2021, Math, English and Science will be presented online whilst the other subjects will be presented in a variety of ways, using the blended learning approach.
Who we are:
We have been serving the greater Vryheid and Emondlo area for 20 years. The school started on a farm outside of town and then moved into town as the need for private education grew. We were housed at a few locations until we purchased our current property.
Risen Son Academy is an NGO (2016/229505/08) managed by a board of Directors. Between them they have more than 60 years of experience in education.
The Chairman is Mr. C K Barry. He obtained his BA Degree (Christian Education) at Lee College (TN) USA and then a Post Graduate Dipl. in Educational Management and Leadership (Regent Business School.)
We have been registered with the DOE (Dept of Education) since 2002. Emis 500327968.
